Watson issues Hasnain warning to Australian team

Australia’s veteran all-rounder, Shane Watson has warned the Australian cricket team to remain wary of the young Pakistan pace sensation, Mohammad Hasnain for their upcoming five-match ODI series at the UAE.

Watson played alongside the 18-year-old for Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League and went on to win their maiden title. Hasnain received the Man of the Match award in the final for picking three wickets for 30 runs at the big occasion.

The former Aussie all-rounder is impressed with the right-arm pacer’s control over line and length and the vicious pace he possesses, which can do wonders even in the UAE playing conditions.

“Hasnain’s control over his length and swing is very impressive and he varies his pace very well,” Watson said. “I have never seen an 18-year old bowl at such pace and I think even on the UAE pitches he will be a difficult proposition for the Australian team.”

The bowler, who took 12 wickets in 7 appearances for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 4, can bowl consistently at a speed of over 150 kph.

The ODI series between Pakistan and Australia will kick off from March 22, while the fifth game will be played on March 31.
