RAWALPINDI: A 12-year-old boy and a woman were martyred while another woman was injured in Azad Jammu and Kashmir as Indian troops resorted to unprovoked shelling from across the restive Line of Control on Sunday, said Inter-Services Public Relations.
According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, Indian troops deliberately targeted civilian population in Tatta Pani and Kot Katira sectors of Azad Kashmir and resultantly a 12-year-old boy, Muhammad Zahid and Nasreen bibi, 45 martyred while another woman Sonia bibi was critically injured.
“Pakistan Army troops responded effectively and targeted those posts which initiated fire,” read the statement. Rescue officials shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital.

Earlier, Indian forces on March 11 had resorted to unprovoked fire along the Line of Control (LoC), martyring two Pakistani civilians including a woman.
According to military’s public affairs wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), “Indian troops resorted to unprovoked fire in Chakothi Sector along Line of Control( LOC), targeting civilian population. Two civilians including a woman embraced Shahadat, while four were injured.”
