SWAT: Minister for Communication Murad Saeed here on Sunday announced that no new tax would be introduced in Malakand division, Radio Pakistan reported.
Addressing a public meeting at Nazarabad area of Matta Swat, Murad Saeed said, “Matta and Kabal grid stations would be established to fulfill promises made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to address power related issues.”
He said that these areas were ignored by previous governments but PTI government had taken concrete steps to initiate development in these areas and uplift them at par with other developed areas of the country.
The minister said Swat Motorway would soon be inaugurated and be extended up to Bagh Dhari Swat with an estimated cost of Rs.57billion.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced on March 18 that his government’s plan to spend more than Rs100 billion annually for the uplift of tribal districts – formerly known as Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).
“Our ppl[people] in the tribal area will see unprecedented development as Govt plans to spend over Rs100 billion annually for 10 yrs in tribal districts,” the prime minister had said in a tweet.
“Living up to our commitment. A 3-week consultative process on 10 year Dev[elopement] Plan for former FATA is being initiated, starting from Bajaur.”
